Six Sentence Sunday

This week's Six Sentence Sunday is from my very first published story, Sacrifice, published in the Making Contact anthology.

FIRES of the highest Hell, he was beautiful, with eyes of green, milky white skin, and the palest brown hair. He showed little body hair beyond that of an adult male, unusual here on Segelian, but he was well-proportioned and built of lean muscle.

He stood before them all, each one of the Thousand surveying the sacrifice the Free Worlds offered them. Stane watched the Thousand carefully, gauging their reactions. He
was amused to note more than one priest discreetly adjusting himself in the face of such beauty. The sacrifice bore their scrutiny with his head high and his face blank.

  1. What an intriguing six sentences, Sue. A perfect tease, now I need to know more!

  2. Marvelous peek into the story - a whole society hinted at in six sentences. :)

  3. Ooh, naughty priests! Great snippet!
