Six Sentence Sunday: Racing Raindrops

My contribution to Six Sentence Sunday is from Racing Raindrops, which comes out in the Chasing the Dream anthology published by Silver in September.

"My boy's gonna go all the way to the top!" his poppa boasted to anyone who'll listen. He was so proud of his oldest son.
Poppa wouldn't be so proud of Little Tony now, would he? Old Tony hated all queers and was proud to boast that the only time some fag came onto him, the fanuk lost all his front teeth. Tony shivered. There was good reason not to tell his Poppa that Little Tony liked the boys.

  4. Oh poor guy! It's so tragic what some kids have to go through as they grow up, before they have the strength to come out and be what they are. Great six and sounds like a great story!

  5. Sounds like Little Tony is dealing with some heavy patriarchal expectations. This could be a problem, and I suspect it will be in a big way. *wince in advance*
