I love the silver foxes we have on TV; Sean Connery, Anderson Cooper and Mark Harmon come to mind. Distinguished and gorgeous.
So there I am watching NCIS, and I thought, why are there so few in the books that I read. Is this another case of ageism? Where are the silver foxes in the M/M books that I read?
So I asked, and three wonderful authors came forward to celebrate their older men.
Kate Sherwood has Jeff, the most sexy silver fox in her Dark Horse series.
This is a quote from Out of the Darkness.
“Are you insane?” Dan supposes it’s not the most tactful response, but what the hell? “Do you honestly think you being older than them is anything but a damned gift?” Jeff leans back a little, looking almost startled by Dan’s vehemence. “Shit, man, you’ve got… you’re….” Dan laughs ruefully. Words have never been kind to him. Instead, he reaches out and hooks a hand around Jeff’s neck and pulls him back toward the window, bringing his head halfway into the truck so Dan’s mouth can find his, and Dan puts everything he can’t say into the kiss. It’s gentle but passionate, warm and then hot. When he finally lets Jeff up for air, they’re both smiling a little, and Dan gently runs a finger over Jeff’s lips. “You’re so much more.”
Of Dark and Bright is out on March 26th.
Jeff, Evan, and Dan have been living happily together for the past two years. They still have problems, especially between Evan and Dan, but they’re mostly able to convert the interpersonal disagreements to sexual tension—and then resolve it—so nobody’s complaining.
Then Dan’s long-lost sister shows up seven months pregnant and on the run from the law, and the situation goes from complicated to overwhelming. Jeff and Evan want to help, but with Evan fearful for his own sister’s safety and Jeff struggling to keep his health issues under wraps, they’re a little distracted. As Dan's sister struggles with her past, Evan's seems intent on gambling with her future. With emotions and family ties pulling them in different directions, the threesome have to hold together—or the people they love may tear them apart.
Jaxx Steele has three silver foxes.
