You might wonder where I've been for the past few weeks. After a planned operation two weeks ago. I am back; a little sore but mostly intact.
Time to give you a run down on what I have been doing writing-wise.
My lovely new assistant, Amelia has been busy promoting Luke's Present, coming out from Dreamspinner Press on 19th December.
What next? Oh yes, subject to the Mayan Apocalypse taking a hike, in February, I have two books coming out.
Dumped by his partner, Matt isn’t looking for love. Once he meets Gabe at the gym, he finds a friend as well as a lover.
After he is dumped by Milo, his long-term partner, Matt retreats to his bed, only to be scared out of his wits by two policemen breaking into his house, checking to see if he is still alive after being alerted by a nosy neighbour.
The last thing he expects is to meet one of the policemen a few months later at his local gym. Gabe makes it obvious that he is attracted to Matt, but Matt is still getting over his break-up. To his surprise, Gabe isn’t deterred by Matt’s reluctance, and promises to be friends until Matt is ready for more.
Then Matt’s world is turned upside down by Milo’s return, begging a bed for one night. One night turns into a week and Milo doesn’t move off the sofa. Although Matt still has feelings for Milo, he realises he also has feelings for Gabe, who is more than a friend, and waits patiently to be a lover.
Louis is a florist who hates Valentine's Day and the guilty men who sigh in relief as they hand over a dozen red roses, and then go back to ignoring their spouses for the rest of the year. He's so busy hating Valentine's Day that he misses someone trying to give him a very important message.
Dreamspinner have accepted a new story from me, The Sky is Dead. It's a three box of tissues stories and well, it was really hard to write. It centres around Danny, a boy made homeless at the start of the millennium. It should be out in April or May.
So what have I been writing?
Ooh well that has been exciting. I have written and submitted the second part of The Arches series, with Luca, the owner of the gym, and his young boyfriend, Darius. Now I am starting a sequel to The Isle of... Where? Remember Sam's brother, Paul? Dresses like Billy Idol but actually a policeman. The second book is his story and he has to find Liam. Sam's fiance has gone missing and no one knows where.
