Guest Blog: If it's meant to happen ... by Sid Love (Giveaway)

Thank you, Sue, for hosting me on your blog today. It's an honor really!

I am here to talk about my newest release "Let It Go" which is a love story between two men who happen to meet by fate. Damon O'Neil, a guy hailing from California, is spending his holidays in Goa, India and is instantly smitten with an attractive, Indian guy he sees. Virat comes to his rescue when a situation arises in a restaurant and their interesting journey begins there.

Why interesting you ask? Because Virat, as Damon finds out soon, is not only taken, but also that he is married to a woman!

The whole story came to me way back in September, I think, when I came across a theme-based anthology call put out by a publisher. It perfectly fit the theme as well as the requirements the anthology had. I was so excited back then that I wrote approximately ten thousand words non-stop over a weekend. You see, the time was short and the deadline was soon approaching for submission.

But the last date came and passed by waving at me, taunting me and I was still stuck at that word count! My real life commitments and busy work schedules kept me from my writing. I sulked and whined and it still didn't help. To top it all up, I hit the writer's block! The worst one... This situation continued till December. I'd missed that publisher deadline.

By that time, I had given up on finishing it. When I came across another publisher's call for submission, I decided to enter my partial manuscript. But even though the publisher had expressed an interest in accepting the story, it just didn't work out. Can you guess why? Yeah, real life sucks at times! I missed that deadline as well.

However, this time I was really committed to finish this story. Sue - the sweetheart she is - suggested that I self-publish it instead. And so I decided to do just that. With the help of Danielle Maas - my beta-reader; Chris Quinton - my editor and A.J. Corza - my cover artist, I managed to have the book finished and ready for publication! It was a really exciting journey, though I had to cut my sleeping time very short (and if you know me, you know I really, really love my sleep!).

So you see, if it's meant to happen, it will happen. Plus, the dedication in you and the support of friends makes wonders!

LET IT GO

BLURB: "Everyone tells me to stay away from him. But if only I knew how to resist him…"

Goa isn’t supposed to be on Damon O'Neil's list of places to stay while working in India. It's merely a substitute for his planned trip to visit his sister in Paris for Christmas and the New Year. His boss had other ideas. He's sent Damon to carry out urgent upgrades to the company's offshore units and Damon can't say no.

When Damon encounters an extra-spicy curry, a handsome Indian guy named Virat comes to his rescue. Damon is instantly smitten with his looks, and especially with his cute smile. But Damon soon realizes he is very much out of his league when Virat introduces his new wife.

However, there might just be a chance Virat isn’t all he pretends to be …

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Sid Love grew up in one of busiest cities in the world, Mumbai, listening to the excerpts of Indian epics from his father every night. While it served as an inspiration back in time, he has always had an ambitious mind. In 2007, when he had just turned sixteen, he decided that he would make his lifelong dream come true—to become a well-known, respected author some day.

Ask him and he would refuse to accept that he is obsessed with books. Or movies. Or TV shows. Addicted may even be the right word. He is a die-hard fan of Jane Austen's romance novels and loves to reread them time and again.
